AfriForum is looking for a youth officer whose focus will be on development. You need a reliable vehicle and driver’s license.
The organization desires the services of an enthusiastic individual with a passion for young people who have self-discipline, self-confidence and good organizational skills, as well as being reliable and responsible.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management and coordination of AfriForum Youth’s development projects.
Key responsibilities include: Coordinating and organizing development projects that will enable our young people to stand out from the rest. This will include seminars and workshops on financial management, entrepreneurship, self-defense, local government, leadership, Afrikaner history and more. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring that at least one development action per Youth branch is offered on a monthly basis.
The post will also require the designated candidate to handle general inquiries regarding AfriForum Youth; identify individually within and outside the Solidarity Movement that can contribute constructively to the empowerment of youth; liaise for marketing purposes with divisions within AfriForum (such as the design of e-maps and the production and editing of videos); be involved in arranging both national and local projects at branch and town level; and to assist AfriForum Youth management members in arranging training opportunities.
The minimum requirements for this position are an appropriate tertiary qualification and experience as a member of the organization’s branch boards or youth structures will be beneficial.
